Ronald Lee Richter, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, was drafted by the Angels on Sunday, January 19th, 2020, back to God his creator, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ron was a provider and a loving, supportive husband to Teresa (Visnovske); beloved father to Michael (Laura). He was a wonderful grandfather to his best baseball buddy Ryne. Dear brother to Harry J. (Suzanne), Marion, Karen, and Robert (Judy); a special uncle, brother-in-law, nephew, cousin, co-worker, coach, and friend. Caretaker of all. Ron was born in St. Louis on October 24, 1952 to the late Harry and Vivian Richter. He was a graduate of Ritenour High School. Ron spent most of his working life as an accountant both at Zip Mail Services and CKE Restaurants (Hardee’s/Carl’s Jr.) He retired from CKE while in California in 2018. While he is now our Angel, Ron was a dedicated St. Louis Cardinals fan, a season ticket holder from 1982 until 2018. He enjoyed attending baseball games all over the country, trout fishing, working at church with his wife, loved his dogs and doing anything that would make his friends or family happy. He was a talented cook always grocery shopping and creating special meals for family. He was always the source of laughter and humor. His kind and generous heart will be missed.
Thank you to doctors, nurses and medical staffs at BJC and Mercy for their amazing care given to Ron during this difficult time. Memorial and Mass will be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Saturday, February 15th. Celebration of Life starting at 9:30 with Mass at 10 am. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church.
