Joined with the chorus of angels at the age of 88, Thursday, June 13, 2024. Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, C. Robert Bell. She leaves her daughter, Brenda Alizadeh (Ed), son, Brian Bell (Kim), and daughter Beth Sawyer (Rob) along with seven grandchildren, Nicole Alizadeh, Rachel Alizadeh (Pat), Bennett Bell (Alyssa), Bryce Bell (Brittany), Blase Bell, Katlyn Sawyer, and Jackson Sawyer. Dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, and friend.
Carol was born and raised in Frankfort, IN where she had to do chores on the farm early in the morning before attending school. She attended Ball State University and graduated with a Master’s in Education. She married her beloved, Bob in 1957 and moved from Muncie, IN to Crestwood, MO in 1967 where they spent most of their married lives. She taught at St. Lucas and then first grade and acting principal at Gateway Christian School for many years before she retired to spend time traveling and with her grandchildren. She was devoted to her students and truly loved what she did. She spent over 50 years serving at Southminster Presbyterian Church in the choir and volunteering in many capacities including Meals on Wheels.
Carol had many talents including her love of music and would be in charge of the Christmas program at her elementary school for many years. She was devoted to her family and was such an encouragement to all of them. The family gatherings would be joyful because she was at the forefront planning a special craft, game, or song and serving the best desserts. Her beautiful smile and endless joy was with her until the end. She was an amazing matriarch to her family and wonderful friend to many. A huge void will be felt by all of us, but know she is at peace, singing and dancing once more!

Carol was always a joy to be around. She had a gentle demeanor, a quick smile, and a sweet tooth just like me. We will miss her but we will always have the loving memories.
Rest In Peace, Sister. You were always such a great role model for me, and a great liaison between me and in-laws since they lived next door to you! I wouldn’t have met my life’s love without you.
Love you always,
Baby Sis
