Conley, James Douglas age 79, Asleep in Jesus Thursday, June 8, 2023. Beloved son of the late John F. Jr. and Mary Jane (nee Sigler) Conley; dearest brother of Susan (Stephen) Schaeffer, Fr. Michael Joyce, Brenda (the late Michael) Smyth, Patricia (Les) Delunas, John (Sherry) Conley and Deborah (Everett) Simmons; loving uncle and great uncle; our dear godfather, cousin and friend.

Life member of Meramec (Arnold) Lodge 2372 Elks.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Tuesday, June 13 from 4-7 p.m. Then taken to Christ Memorial Lutheran Church Wednesday, June 14 for funeral at 11:30 a.m. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to  American Lung Association or  American Heart Association appreciated.

  1. You all have my sincere condolences for the loss of Doug . Even though we parted , we still remained friends & I knew he had medical issues through the years . My heart goes out to all of you during this time of grief. I will have all of you in my prayers .

  2. Doug used to walk his dog past our driveway on Oakcrest ct. and we talked about our Army days and politics and deer hunting.Sorry to see him leave this planet earth/ Bob and Jerry Riggs

  3. I am so sorry that I learned of this so late. I considered Doug a good friend and co-worker and had I known I would have gone to the funeral. I will miss him.

  4. I worked closely with Doug and only recently learned of his passing. I was close with Doug after he retired and hate that I lost contact with him his last year. Doug meant a lot to me personally and professionally. He was about as loyal of a friend as you could have and a good boss as well. He will be missed by all of his coworkers at the Missouri Department of Insurance.
