John L. DuLaney 79 of St. Louis died peacefully Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
Beloved husband of Linda F. DuLaney (nee Defoe) for 56 years and 8 months; loving father of Jeff (Christine) and Lynn (Joseph); adoring grandfather of Leah, Madison and Ben. John is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Ruth DuLaney of Steeleville, Mo.; sister Beverly (John) Avery of Owensville, Mo.; brothers Bob (surviving Marylou) DuLaney of Fredericktown, Mo. and Ralph “Willard” (surviving Frances) DuLaney of Cuba, Mo. Dear son-in-law of the late Floyd and Loma Defoe; dear brother-in-law of Joyce (the late Ervin) Casavan and the late James (Ann Marie) Reeves. He had many nieces, nephews and cousins.
John is a 1962 graduate of Steeleville High School in Steeleville, Mo. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1965 where he served one tour in Vietnam. During his time in Vietnam he served as a door gunner. He separated from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant in 1967.
John enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his family especially his three grandchildren. John will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Monday, July 1 from 4-8 pm. with Funeral Services on Tuesday, July 2 at 10:30 am. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
