William Haegele

In Loving Memory

Haegele, William Joseph “Bill”

December 5, 1966 - June 24, 2024

Haegele, William Joseph “Bill”

Age 57 of Town and Country, passed away unexpectedly Monday June 24, 2024.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Eulalia (nee Albreit) Haegele; succeeded by his wife of 27 years, Viola Haegele (nee Martindell) and his Godchildren Joshua Martindell, Shaun Nelson, Jason (Xander) Hale, Carter Schmitz as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, countless friends and many adopted kinship with “nieces and nephews”.

Bill is a 1985 graduate of Vianney High School. He was born an entrepreneur. In 3rd grade, Bill stated to his teacher he will have his own lawn service and snow removal company, wholesale business, car dealership and will be president. He succeeded in all of these becoming president of that lawn service and snow removal company, wholesale business and car dealership.

Bill enjoyed life to the fullest. Making sure that everyone around him did as well. He formed life long, impactful relationships both professionally and personally. Bill was always building new relationships, while embracing the old ones with routine morning calls to start the day. He was blessed with memorable travels to the Caribbean, Italy, Amsterdam, Munich and his favorite, Africa. He enjoyed being by the water. Whether boating on the river or the Lake of the Ozarks, relaxing on the dock at Innsbrook, ocean view trips to Florida or just sitting by the pond at home.

His passion for cooking was enjoyed by many and he unselfishly shared old and new recipes. Bill also had a talent for creating home blueprint plans as well as landscape and interior designs.

If Bill was not at work or home, you could often find him at one of his 5 mile radius restaurants sitting at his designated favorite table and seat.

Bill will always be remembered, loved, and missed by all who knew him. He set an example to us all by “Doing it his way” !!

Services: Service at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois, Friday July 12, 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to an animal rescue of your choice on behalf of his Stella, Daisy and Dudley. Visitation Thursday July 11, 4:00-8:00 PM.

  2. I was shocked and saddened by the news. I have only known Bill since 2015 when I was fortunate enough to meet him and join his Repelwell team. We have worked together ever since and I considered him a colleague and friend. His advice and guidance have been invaluable!! It is hard to believe that he is gone and I will miss him greatly. “Rest easy Bill”

  4. Where to begin? I never had the opportunity to meet Bill in person, but he has been a part of my world since 2016 when he and Rick brought me on to Bill’s RepelWell team to help them with some graphic design work. From my home In New Jersey, I had many conference calls with Bill and he always was eager to collaborate and create with an enthusiasm for every detail. I could tell he really cared about what he was doing, but more than that, he cared about the opinions and contributions of his colleagues and was always kind and courteous on EACH AND EVERY CALL. Over the years, I learned of all of Bill’s other professional successes, which were extremely impressive, but I also recall that he was just a down to earth guy, enjoying life and the little things like how excited he was to tell us about this great “GREEN EGG” grill he had. I can only imagine how keenly this loss is felt by his wife, family and close friends. He made an impact on me, who really was on the periphery in the scheme of things, and I will remember him fondly and miss him. My deepest sympathies, especially to Viola, with a prayer for strength and healing as she endures this unimaginable loss.

  7. I’m not even sure what to say. Our last dinner together at the house in Innsbrook will forever remain in my mind and will never be as good as yours. Our coffee time together in Florida looking out at the water will also be moments that I will treasure. You were Gordon’s favorite person and he always asked how you were whenever I talked to Vi. I know he met you up there with a glass of scotch/whiskey and the perfect seats to look out over the ocean together. You will & are very much missed & loved.

  8. I had not seen Bill in over 30 years, but I knew him when we were young. His mother Layla was my mother’s best friend, Maid of Honor and my God Mother. His Dad, Paul was a great guy. Both of Bill’s parents were good people. As kids, my brother John and I were always thrilled when Paul, Layla and Bill would come over for a visit. They often stayed late and I have many fond memories of those times. Bill was a laid back kind of guy and he was friendly.
Though as I said it has been over 30 years since I last saw him, his death comes as a shock to John and I.
I will always have those fun memories hanging out with Bill and his parents as kids.
My deepest condolences to his wife, Viola. God bless you all.
