Mayer

In Loving Memory

Mayer, Stephen “Steve”

April 7, 1965 - June 18, 2023

Stephen “Steve” Mayer, of Imperial, Missouri, met peace on the evening of 06/18/2023, at the age of 58, surrounded by his children in St. Louis, Missouri.

As a child, Steve grew up as a protector for his family and this translated to his time he served in the United States Army. Upon completing his time in the service, he settled with his family to include his two children, Andrew and Amanda, in the St. Louis area. He took pride in the career he chose had a strong work ethic, which he instilled in his children.

Nothing in life brought him as much joy as being “PopPop” to his four grandchildren Lettie and Wesley Olson, and Matilda and Amelia Mayer. He also was an avid outdoorsman and loved to deer hunt and go fishing.

He is survived by his father Frank Mayer, uncle Ed Stinekraus, brothers Brian and Raymond Mayer, two children, Andrew Mayer and Amanda Olson, his God-Daughter Carissa Mayer, his partner Lisa Heinkel, and step-sons Brett and Brendan Heinkel. He is preceded in death by his brother Timothy Mayer.

Steve will be honored with a celebration of life on June 21st, at 4-8pm, at Kutis Funeral Home, located at 10151 Gravois Rd, St. Louis, MO. 63123. A burial ceremony will begin at noon on June 22nd, with procession to Resurrection Cemetery.
