Heaven became a little richer today on April 2nd, when George Noblot, in the presence of God and Family, peacefully moved from this life of nearly 87 years to his eternal life, joining loved ones that have preceded him in death on this earth.
George fought a tough battle through his recent pain and suffering, and did so with courage and a positive spirit, while maintaining his pleasant demeanor that he was so well known for. We all loved George and will miss him dearly, but know that he is in a better place where he endures no further pain or suffering. We are all blessed by having spent a long lifetime together with you on this earth. May God grant you everlasting life. “May you stay safe and stay well”, and may you rest in peace until we meet again in God’s Kingdom.
George was a lifelong resident of St. Louis, a machinist, tool & die maker, executive, and an engineer by trade. He was a simple and unpretentious a “man’s-man”, a person of solid and steady balance, who faithfully loved and provided for his family throughout his life. George knew no strangers, and was always quick to engage others in meaningful conversation where he would seek to understand and know more about others and what they were doing rather than talking about himself or his accomplishments. Those that knew him would be quick to tell you that his word was his bond, and that his principles were guided by trust and integrity, treating all with the same simple trust and respect, regardless of their position in life. He was always a gentleman, and others would be quick to offer how nice of a person he really was and how much they enjoyed his company.
George loved his family and was a strong and faithful Husband, Father, Grandfather, Big PawPaw, companion, and friend to so many. He loved Cardinals baseball, all sports, and was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting. We owe you so much gratitude and thanks for being an example of strong faith & stewardship, courage, sacrifice, and while providing us with so many gifts that helped to create our successes in life. Your strong legacy and memory will live on through us every day, and you will never know how thankful we are for your many contributions that you provided to each of us in so many ways.
George was the beloved and faithful husband of the late Norma Noblot for 58 years. Dear companion and friend for many years to Jewel Dougan. Father to Gail Noblot who preceded him in death, Michael & Kim (nee DeBasio) Noblot, and Scott Noblot. Dear Grandfather to Grace Noblot, Andrew & Lindsey (nee Baker) Noblot, and Elizabeth & Dustin Blackburn. Great Grandfather – “Big PawPaw” to Beau & Brodi Blackburn, and Dylan Noblot.
A Memorial Service will be held this Friday, April 7th, 10:30 am at Kutis Afton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Rd., 63123. A visitation will be held prior to the Memorial service at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, The Salvation Army Midland Division, or The Boy Scouts of America.

I was so sorry to hear about George’s passing. Please accept my deepest sympathy. He always was a delightful person to be with and I’m so glad I knew him. I know all of the happy memories you have will be a comfort to you.

I knew George from Miss Sheri’s.
He was a delight to be around, always friendly,
smiling and cheerful.
His faith in God was evident, as was the love for his family.

I worked with George for 32 years at GMP. He was always kind and willing to help anyone anytime. He taught me a lot about the stamping industry. He will be missed.

We met George in church & he soon became known as our church pew friend. We would always sit together at the 10:30 mass.

I don’t think anyone could possibly find a better all around person than George. He and I stayed in touch after our GMP days with frequent lunches. I personally am going to miss him terribly.
