In Loving Memory

Palecek, Arthur Richard

September 5, 1926 - April 4, 2026

Palecek, Arthur Richard, 99, passed away April 4, 2026. Born September 5, 1926 to Joseph and Lillian Palecek. Art leaves behind a loving family: sister Dorothy Johnston; children Chris Wille, Diana (the late Alex) Scheuer, Gary (Catherine) Palecek, Lyn (Joe) Castellano, grandchildren Stacy (Ryan), Jacob (Tracy), Justin (Virginia), Nathan (Ally), Chad, Natalie (Wes), Brett (Lindsay), Ali (Ryan) and Adam (Alex), and 20 great-grandchildren. Art was a proud World War II U.S. Army Air Force veteran and an accomplished craftsman who had and could use any tool there was, none more masterfully than his mind, hands and imagination. He could make or fix anything, it seemed. He made his living as a jeweler, and his fine work, impeccable character and sense of humor brought joy to generations of customers. Now reunited with his late, beloved Theresa, with whom he celebrated a 75th wedding anniversary in July 2023.

Services: Visitation 4:00pm to 7:00pm with Lion’s Club Rose Service at 5 p.m., on Monday, April 13 at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, Mehlville, MO 63129; service at Kutis 9:00am Tuesday, April 14. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Missouri Chapter.
