Beloved husband of the late Pauline Joyce Payne (nee Riegert); loving father of Linda (Mark) Notter; adoring grandfather of Adam and Zachary Notter; dear brother of James Allen (Louise) and Richard Payne and the late Sylvester Payne, Theresa Dorothy (Bill) Brass, Geraldine Payne, Mary Catherine (Edward) Brass, Harrietta (Richard) Buckley and Terry Payne; our dearest brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.

  Joseph was a 4th degree Knight in the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Knights of Columbus.

Services: Memorial visitation at St. Elizabeth of Hungary, 1420 South Sappington, 63126 on Saturday, July 9 from 10 a.m. until funeral Mass time at 11 a.m. Inurnment at J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to American Lung Assoc. appreciated. KUTIS AFFTON  service.

  1. Joe was always a favorite uncle. As he was for so many others in the family, he was there as a support when I needed someone most. He was such a good man and will be sorely missed by so many people. I will miss him myself more than I can say.
