In Loving Memory

Peters, David A.

Peters, David. He was born on December 21, 1952 in Butler County, Missouri and passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at the age of 73. He was a loving husband, and was married to Jean Peters for 31 years. Together they vacationed to many places and made wonderful memories. David was a proud and loving dad to Sarah Peters and future son-in-law, Dylan Jones; Proud stepdad to Christie and Sami Brennecke, and Amanda and Shane Hood; proud papa to Kristian Brennecke and loving great-papa to Savannah and Braxton Brennecke.

David was also a loving son, brother, uncle, friend and son-in-law. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

During his free time,  David enjoyed playing word games and was an avid reader, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the shooting range with his buddies.

He was very proud of his time at United Parcel Service (UPS), where he dedicated 47 years and made many friends.

He will always be loved and remembered.

Services: Visitation will held at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Tuesday May 26, 11 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Burial at Park Lawn Cemetery.

  1. Dave was the kind of boss that tried to make work fun with laughter and quick witt. I am so glad we had lunch not that long ago and shared many memories and laughes. You will be missed by many.

    His wit was legendary
    He was a kind gentle man. I never had a bad hunting or fishing trip with Dave. What a great friend he was.

    I called him my friend, because he was a good man. He will always be remembered for his kindness and humor. RIP my friend

  5. He was a nice and considerate man we had cancer at the same time. We always talked about how he’s feeling, and how the medicine made us feel you will be missed blessing to the family🙏🙏🙏

  7. Dave was one of my mentors. We had many memorable times laughing and joking during our careers. Dave knew everything about dispatching feeders. Dave and I became good friends over the years and considered him a great friend and co-worker! I greatly appreciate his many years of laughter, friendship and times shooting and fishing. He will be greatly missed!!! RIP Buddy!
