It is with great sadness that the family of John Lee Strebler announces that on June 26, 2024, he was called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. John was a beloved husband, father, and friend to many. He was born in Saint Louis Missouri on August 17th, 1945. After growing up in Fenton, Missouri, he attended and graduated from Lindbergh High School and the University of Missouri Columbia. After marrying, he raised his three children John, Andrew, and Julie.
Throughout his career in business, John worked as an analyst for Conoco Oil, owned Strebler’s IGA grocery store in south St Louis, and enjoyed working as a financial advisor for many years. John married his beloved wife Janet Strebler and they enjoyed 25 plus years together. They attended Community Christian Church and loved to travel. John enjoyed reading and had a great passion for gardening.
John was preceded in death by his parents C.L.Strebler and Vera Forbis Strebler; his brother Raymond Strebler, his beloved wife Janet Strebler, and his son John Dewey Strebler. He is survived by his son Andrew Strebler, as well as his grandchildren Abigail Strebler, Drew Strebler, Alyssa Boyce (husband Mike Boyce), and his great grandchildren Braelyn Boyce and Brantley Boyce; his daughter Julie Strebler Burgdorf (husband Josh Burgdorf), as well as his grandchildren Maxwell Burgdorf and Paige Burgdorf; step daughter Kris Moeller (husband Bob Moeller), and grandson Benjamin Moeller; and step daughter Jennifer Sager.
The visitation will be held July 13th, 2024 from 9:00 am to 10:00am and followed with a brief memorial service at 10:00am at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123. I’m so sorry to learn of your dad’s home going. He & Janet were such a delight at Cape Albeon & we will certainly miss him. They are now reunited in Heaven.
