Funeral from Kutis, Affton, 10151 Gravois Road, Wednesday, Sept 6, to Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 5020 Rhodes Ave, St. Louis, for 11:00 am Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation at Kutis on Tuesday, Sept 5, from 3-8 pm. Memorials: Masses are preferred.
Audrey was an active member of the Women’s Guild of Our Lady of Sorrows. Our Lady of Sorrows Parish was really the center of her life. If someone needed information about a particular event at OLS, they called her because she usually knew the answer. She helped in any way that she could in many organizations at OLS, (too numerous to mention) until she entered into Assisted Living a couple of years ago.
Any expression of memories or travel experiences, (or anything else you wish to share) regarding Audrey, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Audrey was a wonderful lady with a great spirit. The importance of family and her faith was very apparent and showed in her daily life. She was a joy to be around and will be greatly missed by her friends and staff at Mattis Pointe.

I loved Audrey so much. Joe was my grandfather’s cousin, Albert Streb. Audrey and Joe would come to my grandparents home when I was a child to play cards with all the cousins. Then when I grew up , she would play cards with my mom, Nancy Shuttleworth, and our friends Ann Boll and Lou , and Faye Detweiler. She was the sweetest most loving person EVER! My daughter, Amy and I visited Audrey at Mattis Pointe as few months ago. It was such a nice visit and was so great to see her. She will definitely be missed. My thoughts and prayers to Marilyn, Jane and Rita and the entire family. I miss my mom everyday so I know how hard it is.

Also, I think that I briefly spotted you the night of her visitation. When I got home, it hit me that you guys were there. I hope that my sister was able to talk to you.
Audrey was a beautiful person inside and out. She was always so grateful for anything whether big or small that you did for her. Her kindness towards everyone will truly be missed at Mattis Pointe. Prayers to her family during their time of loss.

Audrey was my neighbor/my parents’ neighbor growing up my entire childhood. I have such fond memories calling the landline and asking her to play hide the penny, coloring and drawing, naming colors, playing cards, and drinking Pepsi in her kitchen. She truly shaped my childhood and i would consider my neighborhood friend (I was an only child). She was always so so sweet and kind and even remembered my birthday many years later after I moved out of my parents house.

She was truly an incredible Grandma. Too many memories to list. Hide the penny, slum, powdered donuts, animal dominoes, go go (or any card game!) and of course, the ever-present M&Ms. Her gooey butter cake is legendary. Always quick with a rhyme or a story when you asked, I will miss her greatly.
Audrey was the sweetest and kindest next-door neighbor a person could have. She also shares the same birthdate as my father and believe it or not my boss whom I have worked for for 33 years. When November 16 comes around I’m thinking about three very important people.

Thank you for writing about my mom. She also thought that you were kind neighbors, as well. My dad had bought that “gigantic blue car” right before he passed away in 1983.
