Neuner, Dr. Francis “Frank” X. Sr.

June 13, 1944 - May 2, 2025

Dr. Francis “Frank” X. Neuner, Sr. was born on June 13, 1944 and went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 2, 2025 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Ruth Walther-Neuner for 22 years. Dear son of the late Louis W. Neuner and the late Jeanette M. Neuner. Dear brother of Michael Neuner, Tom Neuner (the late Joan), and David (Teresa) Neuner.

Dear father and grandfather of Jennifer (Kevin) Kelly, Jack, Sean and Brendan; Frank Jr. (Madeleine) Neuner, Ryan, Bridget, Kara and Daniel; Paul (Takako) Neuner, Towa and Haru; Matthew Neuner, Abi; Tim (Maria) Neuner, Benjamin, Katherine, Luke and Caroline. Dear step-father and step-grandfather of Aaron (Thiky) Walther, Elliana; David (Kellee) Walther, Audrey and Adelynn; Nathan (Rachel) Walther, Avelyn, Brooklyn and Oliver; Daniel (Lora) Walther, Ryan, Peyton, Deagan and Lucas; Tim (Kyla) Walther, Kymiah; Rachel (Kayla) Walther.

Frank is survived by many dear cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He is also survived by Sharon Neuner and Jeanne Neuner.

Frank graduated from St. Louis University School of Dentistry in 1968. He went on to practice for 54 years, including service as a Naval Dentist during the Vietnam War. Frank was a dedicated sports fan and music lover. He also enjoyed reading, being outdoors, boating (especially sailing), riding his motorcycle, and running. Frank not only ran as a hobby, but competed in 8 marathons, including the Boston Marathon. He loved his family, friends, patients, neighbors, and his dogs, especially Lexi.

Frank’s visitation will be held at Crosspoint Church, 5001 Little Rock Road, St Louis, MO 63128 on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service following at 1:00 p.m.

The funeral procession will assemble at the Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63129 on Monday, May 19 at 12:00 p.m., followed by a service with full military honors at 12:30 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Kidney Fund.
