In Loving Memory of Rosetta Marie Saputo
May 26, 1955 – July 22, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved aunt, Rosetta Saputo, who departed this life peacefully on July 22, 2025, at the age of 70.

Rosetta was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Reet, her loving parents, Grace and Anthony (Tony), and her dear brother, Michael. She was a steady, caring presence in the lives of those who knew her, and her memory will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Patricia, and her cherished nephews: Michael (Sarah) Saputo, Anthony (Cheyanne) Saputo, Dominic (Brooke) Saputo, and dearest friend Glen Zeitler all of whom carry forward her legacy of love and family.

Rosetta will be remembered for her quiet strength, her unwavering kindness, and the gentle wisdom she so freely gave. She found joy in the simple things, family gatherings, thoughtful conversations, and moments of laughter shared with loved ones. Her Faith in the Lord carries her home. May God Bless Her.

Visitation services will be held at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 28, 2025.

  1. Roe, was such an amazing woman. I feel so lucky to have known her, even though it was a short time. And, I know that she is looking down from Heaven at us. Roe will be missed by everyone who knew her.

  3. Rosetta was a newer friend to me, but I cared for her quickly! She was fun spirited. I met her in the YMCA locker room where one day I randomly sang the first 2 lines of an old song:
“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine”
Immediately, I hear Rosetta (we had never met!) from across the room:
“You make me happy, when skies are gray.”
Me: “You’ll never know dear, how much I love you”.
Rosetta: “Please don’t take my sunshine away!”

I’m sure the other ladies thought we were nutty (probably right!), but actually, several chimed right in with us!

After that, we often crossed paths and she became my Locker Room Pal! She shared that one of her life’s dreams was to go to Hawaii, and I am so glad she lived to fulfill it!

I know that I will miss her. I already do.

  10. I will forever remember my dear friend Rosetta with a heart full of gratitude and love. We first met as coworkers at WashU, but she quickly became much more—a cherished friend whose warmth and kindness touched my life deeply.

Some of my fondest memories are our trips to The Hill, where Rosetta was treated like a revered celebrity at DiGregorio’s. We always paused at the fountain in front of St. Ambrose, sharing quiet moments and laughter. She was incredibly generous—knitting prayer blankets for my daughter and me during difficult times, blessing them with so much love and hope.

Rosetta shared her wisdom, her favorite recipes, her sharp sarcasm, and endless optimism. She adored her family and mourned her parents, husband, and brother every day they were gone. Her love for Disney, Hawaii, scrapbooking, swimming, and chocolate brought joy to her life, and I was so grateful she was able to travel to Disney World and Hawaii after retirement.

Her strength and loving optimism continually inspired me, especially when she lost weight and became more active than ever. She always spoke of her dear friends with such pride and affection.

Rosetta’s kindness, resilience, and love will be missed beyond words. May she rest peacefully in eternal happiness.
