Monday, August 7, 2023. Beloved husband of Marti Wagner (nee: McKay). Dear father of Jon (Margo) Wagner, Lauren Wagner and the late Joshua Wagner. Dear grandfather of Oliver and Theodore “Teddy” Wagner. Dear brother of the late Betty (Tom) Craig. Our dear uncle, cousin, coach, colleague, and friend to many.
Mr. Wagner was a beloved Lindbergh School District Leader/Educator, Lindbergh High School Coach, Boy Scout Scoutmaster, US Army Veteran, and member of the retiree breakfast club.
SERVICES: Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Road on Monday, August 14, 12:30 p.m. Interment St. Lucas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Children’s Mercy Kansas City Hospital Heart Center, Tunnel to Towers or Wounded Warriors is appreciated. Visitation Sunday 2 – 8 p.m.

Coach Wagner was a very kind, soft spoken, well respected man on Lindbergh campus. He was never to busy to smile and start up a conversation. He will be remembered for those qualities he gave to others. Our thoughts are with your family God bless.

Ken was a good man. We enjoyed our many holidays visiting with he and Marti. He was special and sure to be in Heaven now with Josh so many friends and family. I am sure God has a special place for him in helping others. We will all miss you dearly. Someday we will all be together again. Your grandsons will remember you and all your life’s accomplishments and will help them through their formative years. God bless you. .
Marti and family. To say I’m shocked is an understatement. Wow! We are so sorry to hear this news about Ken. What a great guy he was. I know you are all in a state of shock. There just are not enough great words to say about him. He will be truly missed We would love to visit but are out of town. Please put your arms around your loved ones and look to them for support. RIP.

Steve and I are so saddened to hear of your dad’s passing. We send our condolences. We are thinking of you and pray for your comfort during this time.
Marti and Family, Linda and I are deeply saddened by learning of the passing of Kenny, an old friend. We met Kenny and Marti in 1971. We were just young kids, teaching middle school in the Lindbergh Schools. We made the “Friday after school Happy Hour” legendary, for many years. Here are some other activities:
slow-pitch softball, hot dog roasts and cold beer. We played after school basketball at the Middle School and weekend basketball at Sperreng. We played Touch Football in the Muni league. There was Wednesday teacher’s league bowling. New Years eve was reserved for charades. Trout fishing at Maremac Springs and camping. Etc. Etc. The guys expended a lot of energy and the gals did a lot of chatting. Then we all turned into parents and settled down…. a lot. We had constant laughs and never a cross word. Rest in peace old friend, but keep Jogging.
