Moore, John William Jr. (Johnny Angel)

October 6, 1959 - February 23, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John William Moore Jr., a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Born to the late John W. Moore Sr. and Mary F. Moore (nee Pulliam). John was a devoted brother to Christine Bouyea and Mary Jo (Tim) Buck. He took immense pride in his role as uncle to Daniel (Blair) Buck, Elizabeth (Raymond) Menard, Mary Ellen (Jason) Kellar, Allison Buck (Brad), Samantha Buck (Chris), and Steven Bouyea (Kayla). Each of his nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart.

A true and loyal friend, John shared an unmatched friendship with Lisa Dick. Their friendship was a source of unwavering support and joy. He was also a cherished great-uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many, all of whom will deeply miss his love of life.

John’s memory will be forever treasured by those who knew and loved him. He was born on October 6th,1959 in St. Louis, Mo. John was a champion swimmer at Roosevelt High School where he graduated in 1978. He then moved on to a 30+ year career driving trucks in St. Louis. John loved cold beer, good fishing, and loud music. His positivity and laid back attitude helped lift the spirits of many people throughout his life. 

A visitation to celebrate John’s life will be held on March 30th, 2025 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Kutis funeral home located at 2906 Gravois Ave, St. Louis, MO 63118. A service will be held immediately after the visitation.

  1. When I remember high school days, you always come to my mind. Wonderful memories, fun memories I will always cherish. So glad to visit with you long after high school too. Lot of laughing with dear friends. Rest in peace John.

  5. I know you were smiling yesterday. What a wonderful service you had. The speaker could not have done a better job. Very heart-felt, with hints of humor. He knew you well. Obvious how many people loved you. We will definitely miss you our “Johnny Angel.” Our group and the little gatherings we had will never be the same. So many great memories you leave us with. You may be gone but will not be forgotten. Your sisters and family was there and my prayers will be with them. Fly high my sweet friend. I’ll see you on the other side. Until we meet up again.

  6. Johnny, What a great friend you have been for SO many years. Patti is so right our little get togethers will never be the same, but our memories are forever. from the moment you walked into our grade school, we were the best of friends! I will miss you! Until we meet again.
